With the winter holidays and the end of the year drawing closer, what better way to rest and relax than to go on a trip somewhere beyond the reaches of our daily humdrum?

Weekend Winter Retreat 2012! (2D1N, 5th-6th Jan ’13)
Our destination? Think snow-covered mountains and plains blanketed in white…… we will be going to:
Takayama and Shirakawa-go in Gifu prefecture!
The former is a well-preserved historical district, charming with its Edo-period facades and structures, while the latter is a UNESCO heritage site most known for its gasshou-zukuri buildings, constructed in the traditional way and designed to weather the harsh winters. The entire area is also known for its numerous hot springs, and it is a treat to be in an open-air bath with the snow falling.
Normally, such a trip would set you back almost 20,000 yen in transport alone, if you were to make your own way there from Tokyo – our trip, though, will cost you only 14,000 yen, inclusive of accommodation and meals! To further sweeten the deal, register early and get a cashback of 1,500 yen! Take note that priority for the cashback will be given to Singaporeans, and is only valid for registrations made up tillthis Sunday, 25th November, 2359hrs.

Please take note that you will have to pay in advance, due to the nature of the event – there are two ways you can go about doing this:
1) By bank transfer (We will notify you of the bank and account number in our confirmation email acknowledging your registration; any handling fees incurred will be borne by you)
2) In cash on the 1st December 2012, at the Embassy’s End-Of-Year Reception
Please note that the deadline for registration will be the 2nd December, 2012, 2359hrs, and the deadline for payment will be the 5th December, 2012, 2359hrs – failure to receive your payment by the 6th (allowing a day for the bank transfer to be completed) will result in the cancellation of your registration, so do be punctual.
