HUAT! SSAJ held Lunar New Year celebrations in Tokyo in January and it was a blast!
Oh to be a room of 20ish year olds not knowing the lohei phrases. We had food (I made nian gao and lo hei with a friend! Somebody brought pineapple tarts! Someone brought Turkish food?) and festive music (jianhao tan's CNY video gained 14 views), but above all it was good to be with friends this festive period, especially for those of us unable to return home to family.
