The 2011 GE was indeed an event that bonded Singaporeans in spirit and soul. Despite the various problems we students face in this foreign land, being away from home never diminished the passion and love we had towards our homeland. Many of us cast our votes on the morning of 7th of May, 2011 after careful deliberation and thought. Although opinions were different and ideas clashed during lunch as over 20 of us debated on what we believed in, “Lunch on Polling Day” nevertheless proved to be a brief, yet important event to remind ourselves of who we are.
