2015 marked the tenth anniversary of the ASEAN Cultural Festival in Japan. The ASEAN Fest is an annual student organized event that in held in Tokyo. In 2015, the event was held on Saturday 10th October. Singapore was part of the publicity team and was also the vice head of the event. On top of this, we sold kaya toast at our stall, participated in the fashion show, and had a stunning Chinese dance performance by Yvonne Chan.
As part of the organizing team, SSAJ spent close to six months organizing the event. While it was a rather trying time coordinating the schedules of the many members, we are rather satisfied with how the event turned out. In the stressful few hours of sales, we managed to sell all of the kaya that we had brought along and many commented on the deliciousness of our kaya toast!
SSAJ would especially like to thank all the volunteers, for their help in manning the booth, making of the toast, and participating in the fashion show and performance. We would also like to express our gratitude to those who came down to support or promote our event in one way or another. This event would not have been a success without your help.
